Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide servicing of the borehole filtration system and conduct water testing at Qadi Clinic. This includes maintenance of the borehole water filtration units, servicing of booster pumps, borehole pumps, cleaning of water storage tanks, and laboratory testing of water quality to ensure safety for human consumption.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Servicing of borehole water filtration system cylinders for the first, second, and third years.
• Servicing of water booster pumps and borehole pumps (including removal, servicing, and reinstallation under supervision).
• Cleaning of water storage tanks.
• Water quality testing in accordance with SANS 241:2015 standards, including collection of samples in accredited laboratory bottles and submission for physio-chemical and bacteriological analysis.
• Supply and cleaning of JoJo tank filters as per existing specifications.
• Preparation and submission of safety documentation and compliance files.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Servicing of borehole filtration units, including replacement of filters and chlorinator pills.
• Servicing of booster pumps and borehole pumps, ensuring all equipment is fully functional.
• Cleaning and maintenance of water storage tanks.
• Water sampling and testing in line with SANS 241:2015, with results submitted to the clinic and relevant authorities.
• Use of specified or department-approved materials and equipment.
• Adherence to health and safety standards, including submission of a safety file and compliance with relevant safety regulations.
• Completion of the work within a contract period of approximately one week from site handover, with the possibility of after-hours work as required.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Qualified artisans with trade test certificates in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Experience in servicing borehole water systems, pumps, and filtration units.
• Ability to collect water samples and conduct or coordinate laboratory testing according to SANS standards.
• Capability to prepare safety files and adhere to health and safety regulations on site.
• Proven track record of similar water system maintenance projects, supported by relevant certificates and previous order completion certificates.
• Availability to complete the work within the specified timeframe, with proper site access and minimal disruption to clinic operations.
