Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the annual servicing of infrared equipment at Ekuhlengeni Psychiatric Hospital, as well as servicing of electrical points (infrared detection) and air conditioners at the same facility. The aim is to ensure proper maintenance, functionality, and safety of the infrared systems and related electrical infrastructure within the hospital environment.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Annual servicing of infrared detection systems at Ekuhlengeni Psychiatric Hospital.
• Servicing of electrical points associated with infrared detection, including checking distribution boards, wiring, breakers, and thermal vision reports.
• Servicing of air conditioning units (Category B) at the hospital.
• Inspection, testing, fault reporting, and comprehensive reporting upon completion.
• Servicing to be carried out without disrupting hospital operations, with work conducted on-site over specified periods.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Provision of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for servicing.
• Inspection and testing of all electrical points (infrared detection) and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Check all distribution boards, wiring, and breakers; test electrical volume or power in all points.
• Provision of detailed reports, including thermal vision images and fault reports.
• Compliance with South African Standards (SANS), Occupational Health and Safety Act, and relevant electrical codes.
• Proof of previous purchase orders and completion certificates for similar services.
• CIDB-EB registration to be attached to the quotation.
• Guarantee period of at least 12 months for electrical and mechanical installations.
• Work to be completed within specified contract periods, with minimal disruption to hospital operations.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Qualified and experienced electrical and mechanical technicians with relevant certifications.
• Registered CIDB credentials for the installation and servicing of electrical and infrastructure systems.
• Knowledge of South African electrical standards, safety regulations, and hospital environment requirements.
• Ability to conduct detailed inspections, fault diagnosis, and produce comprehensive reports.
• Experience in servicing infrared detection systems and air conditioning units in healthcare settings.
• Capacity to work within tight schedules, ensuring hospital operations are not disrupted.
