Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the servicing of Ingersoll Rand air compressors at the Northern Natal Regional Laundry, ensuring proper maintenance, operational efficiency, and compliance with technical standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Servicing of Ingersoll Rand air compressors, including inspection, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Replacement of worn or broken components such as oil filters, air filters, separator cartridges, and compressor oil.
• Installation and commissioning of serviced or new components to ensure optimal operation.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance as per schedule, including checks on belts, motor alignment, lubrication, electrical connections, and safety devices.
• Ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations at the facility during service activities.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of all necessary materials, equipment, and labor for servicing and installation.
• Compliance with relevant standards such as SABS or SANS specifications.
• Proof of work done, including complete servicing reports and replacement of specified parts.
• Use of approved and specified spare parts, including oil filters, air filters, separator cartridges, and compressor oil.
• Adherence to safety and occupational health standards during execution.
• Contractor must have CIDB Grade 1ME accreditation.
• Guarantee period of at least 12 months for installed components and serviced equipment.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• CIDB Grade 1ME certification or higher.
• Technical expertise in servicing and maintaining industrial air compressors, specifically Ingersoll Rand models.
• Experience in executing similar maintenance contracts within the healthcare or industrial sector.
• Ability to provide proof of completed work and references from previous clients.
• Qualified personnel with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and safety standards applicable to compressor maintenance.
• Capacity to supply and install approved spare parts and consumables.
