Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply various stationery items to Hlabisa Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal, ensuring timely delivery of quality products that meet specified standards and specifications. The process aims to promote transparency, compliance with procurement policies, and adherence to preferential procurement regulations, including supporting specific goals such as Black ownership.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a range of stationery items, including but not limited to:

• Selotape (clear broad tape)
• Lever arch files with spring clips (A4 size)
• Permanent markers (black)
• Carbon paper (blue, A4, 100 sheets per pack)
• Desk stapler machines (metal, 25 sheet capacity)
• Elastic rubber bands (64mm, packs of 100)
• File fasteners (metal, 80mm, boxes of 50 sets)
• Carbon paper (blue, A4, 100 sheets per pack)
• Other miscellaneous stationery items as specified

The contract is a once-off supply with a validity period of 90 days, and delivery is to be made to Hlabisa Hospital's main gate tender box.

Technical Requirements

Supplied items must conform to the following technical standards and specifications:

• Items must meet the detailed specifications provided in the annexed forms, including size, material, and quality standards (e.g., SABS standards).
• All products must be new, unused, and incorporate the latest design and material improvements unless specified otherwise.
• Items must be compliant with the relevant South African standards (SABS) and specifications.
• Packaging must be robust enough to withstand transit and handling conditions.
• All items must be delivered with the necessary documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, and compliance certificates.

Skills Requirements

While the tender primarily focuses on the supply of stationery, the following skills and competencies are expected from bidders:

• Proficiency in procurement processes and compliance with government tender procedures.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards for stationery products.
• Effective logistics and delivery management to ensure timely and accurate delivery to the hospital.
• Understanding of South African procurement legislation, including the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and related regulations.
• Capability to provide necessary documentation, including BBBEE certificates, tax compliance, and supplier registration details.
• Ability to support and demonstrate adherence to specific goals such as Black ownership and supplier diversity.
