Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure stationery supplies for the East Boom Community Health Centre (CHC). The procurement aims to ensure the availability of essential stationery items such as markers, rubber bands, staplers, whiteboard markers, staples, laminating pouches, flip charts, calculators, highlighters, cardboard, and other related items to support the operational needs of the facility.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of various stationery goods as detailed in the item specifications. The items are intended for office use, including writing, marking, binding, laminating, and other administrative functions. The procurement covers multiple categories of stationery, including markers, rubber bands, staplers, whiteboard markers, staples, laminating pouches, flip charts, calculators, highlighters, cardboard, and other related products, with quantities specified per item.

Technical Requirements

• All items must conform to the detailed specifications provided in the annexure, including size, color, material, and quality standards.
• Items such as markers, staplers, and highlighters must be durable, of standard quality, and meet the specified technical standards (e.g., SABS approval for calculators).
• Packaging must be appropriate to prevent damage during transit and storage.
• Suppliers must provide samples if required, and all goods must comply with relevant South African standards (SABS/SABS approved).
• Delivery must be made to the specified address within the agreed timeframe, with all necessary documentation provided.
• Items such as laminating pouches and flip charts must meet the specified dimensions and quality requirements, including thickness and material.
• All items must be new, unused, and of the most recent models unless otherwise specified.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven ability to supply quality stationery items in accordance with technical specifications.
• Experience in handling government or institutional procurement processes, including compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
• Capacity to provide samples and documentation demonstrating compliance with specifications and standards.
• Ability to deliver goods within the stipulated timeframe and to handle logistics efficiently.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and quality assurance procedures, including familiarity with SABS standards.
• Capability to complete and submit all required documentation accurately, including declaration forms, preference claim forms, and compliance certificates.
• Financial stability and registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and VAT registration (if applicable).
