Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure sterile Level 4 gowns suitable for daily orthopedic surgery at Grey's Hospital, ensuring compliance with specified standards for quality, sterility, and safety.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of sterile Level 4 gowns, peel-packed, reinforced, made from non-woven polypropylene material, with specific GSM requirements, fluid repellency, low linting, and low flammability. The gowns must meet the detailed specifications provided, including size options (XL and XXL), packaging, and sterility certification. The procurement covers the delivery of 50 units per case, with the gowns intended for use in orthopedic surgical procedures.

Technical Requirements

• Gowns must be sterile, peel-packed, and individually double-packed.
• Material: Non-woven polypropylene, minimum 54GSM for body, 66GSM for sleeves, with fluid-repellent certification.
• Reinforcements: Inside front from chest to top (neckline) and inside sleeve from cuff to full length.
• Contents wrapped in a non-woven towel (minimum 600x600mm), with clear markings including expiry and manufacturing dates.
• Packaged in peel packaging, clearly marked, with 2 hand towels (white virgin pulp, lint-free, high absorbency, 40GSM, 300x200mm folded).
• Color: Blue.
• Size options: XL (approx. 148cm x 165cm) and XXL (approx. 156cm x 180cm), with specified dimensions.
• Gowns must comply with SANS 53795 standards for length and quality.
