Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver transparent suction liners, seam-free blow moulded PVC, with a capacity of 2 litres, including a shut-off valve, to Murchison Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure the hospital has a reliable supply of high-quality suction liners that meet specified standards for medical use.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of 350 units of the specified suction liners. The delivery location is N2 Main Harding Road, Murchison Hospital, Port Shepstone. The contract is a once-off supply, with the expectation that the products conform to detailed specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and delivery of transparent, seam-free blow moulded PVC suction liners with a 2-litre capacity.
• Items must include a shut-off valve, integral mechanical float, and be suitable for tandem or multiple installations.
• Manufactured with moulded transparent PVC, with manufacturing and expiry dates clearly visible outside packaging.
• Packed in boxes of 50 units, with an expiry date of at least 12 months from delivery.
• Compliance with specified standards for medical-grade PVC and anti-spray elbows, vacuum tubing, and anti-foaming agents.
• Products must meet the detailed specifications provided in the annexure, including size, material, and packaging requirements.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Manufacturers or suppliers must demonstrate the ability to produce medical-grade PVC suction liners that meet the detailed technical specifications.
• Capability to supply the required quantity (350 units) within the specified delivery timeframe.
• Provision of quality assurance documentation and compliance with relevant standards such as SANS/SABS.
• Experience in supplying medical devices or similar healthcare products, with proven track record and references.
• Ability to provide samples for evaluation, if required, and to adhere to packaging, expiry, and labeling standards.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points for Black-owned companies and adherence to the Department’s supply chain management regulations.
