Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply one benchtop centrifuge that meets the specified technical requirements for the NHLS Green Point Molecular Lab. The goal is to ensure the laboratory receives a reliable, compliant, and high-quality centrifuge to support its diagnostic and research activities.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of one benchtop centrifuge as per the detailed specifications provided by NHLS.
• Provision of all necessary resources, labor, accessories, and software required for the proper installation and operation of the equipment.
• Completion of the work in accordance with the scope, specifications, and contractual obligations.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the centrifuge include:

• Type: Benchtop centrifuge suitable for laboratory use.
• Specifications: As detailed in the RFQ documentation, including capacity, speed, safety features, and compatibility with laboratory protocols.
• Certification: Must be certified by relevant authorities (e.g., SAHPRA) and meet applicable safety and quality standards.
• Compatibility: Must be suitable for the laboratory's existing infrastructure and workflows.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Technical expertise in supplying and installing laboratory equipment, specifically centrifuges.
• Experience in delivering similar contracts within the healthcare or laboratory sector.
• Capability to provide after-sales support, maintenance, and training if required.
• Compliance with all procurement, safety, and quality standards as stipulated in the RFQ and relevant legislation.
