Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver clear plastic and disposable cups, as well as related items such as plastic bags of various sizes, polystyrene cups, and paper cups, to Imbalenhle Community Health Centre in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure the availability of quality disposable items for general waste collection, patient use, and other operational needs within the health facility.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of:

• Clear plastic garbage bags of specified dimensions and micron thickness
• Disposable polystyrene cups of specified volume and packaging
• Paper cups of 250 ml capacity

The items must meet the detailed specifications provided, including size, material, and quality standards, and be delivered to the designated health centre within the contract period, which is once-off. The procurement process involves sample submission, adherence to specifications, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Technical Requirements

• Items must conform to the detailed specifications, including dimensions, material quality, and packaging standards as specified in the annexure and product description forms.
• Samples of each item are required for evaluation and must meet the specified standards.
• All products must be new, unused, and of the most recent models, with warranties where applicable.
• Items must be delivered in packaging that prevents damage during transit and storage, with proper labeling and documentation.
• Suppliers must provide certificates of compliance, and samples upon request, and adhere to inspection and testing procedures.
• Delivery must be timely, with all documentation submitted as per contractual and regulatory requirements.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying disposable health and sanitation products.
• Ability to meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Capacity to provide samples, documentation, and certificates of compliance.
• Effective logistics and delivery management skills to ensure timely supply to the health centre.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, including adherence to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and related regulations.
• Competence in handling contractual obligations, including warranty, inspection, and quality assurance processes.
