Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver a converted 60ft container to Gamalakhe CHC for use as a maintenance workshop. The project aims to provide a functional, compliant, and safe workshop facility that meets the specified technical and safety standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply of a 60ft converted shipping container with specified features and insulation.
• Delivery of the container to Gamalakhe CHC.
• Installation, connection, and testing to ensure the container is in good working condition.
• Preparation of the site, including constructing a concrete slab and necessary access steps.
• Compliance with all relevant standards, specifications, and safety regulations.

The scope also encompasses site inspection, adherence to technical specifications, and ensuring the container is ready for operational use within the stipulated contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the container include:

• Supply and delivery of a 60ft converted shipping container with the following features:
  • Steel stud interior framing
  • Ceiling insulation: R6 spray foam + R12 batt
  • Side wall insulation: R12 batt
  • Half-inch plywood sheeting (cabinet grade)
  • 100AMP electrical panel with exterior junction box
  • Nine power outlets and six LED wrap lights
  • Insulated personnel door with hardware and lockbox
  • One window (36”x48”) with steel frame and security screen
  • Shelving along one side for workshop materials
  • 6000BTU air conditioning unit
  • Wooden or workshop flooring
• Site preparation including constructing a concrete slab matching the container size and additional outdoor shelter.
• Installation and testing to ensure operational readiness.
• Compliance with relevant health, safety, and building standards, including occupational health and safety regulations.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

• Experience in supply, delivery, and installation of modular or container-based structures.
• Technical expertise in container modifications, insulation, electrical wiring, and site preparation.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to construction and installation projects.
• Ability to coordinate site inspections, site clearance, and site-specific safety procedures.
• Qualified personnel for electrical work, site supervision, and quality assurance.
• Capability to adhere to project timelines and deliver within the specified contract period.
