Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver eyelid implant weights that are 0.6mm thick and 5mm wide, available in various sizes, for a 12-month contract at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital. The aim is to procure high-quality prosthetic weights suitable for the treatment of lagophthalmos resulting from facial paralysis, ensuring they meet specified standards and are suitable for use in a clinical setting.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of eyelid implant weights in various sizes (ranging from 0.6g to 1.8g in 0.2g increments), packaged as sterile single items, to Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital. The contract duration is 12 months, with the possibility of evaluation and renewal based on performance and requirements. The procurement includes adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines as specified in the tender documents.

• Understanding of procurement procedures, including adherence to the evaluation criteria and submission of complete documentation
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements as per South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA)
