Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver various garden tools and related equipment to the designated health facilities within KwaZulu-Natal Province, ensuring they meet specified standards and requirements for operational efficiency and safety.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of a range of garden tools and equipment, including but not limited to garden aprons, rakes, bush knives, pressure sprayers, garden gloves, brooms, ladders, squeegees, and other related items, to multiple clinics and health centers such as Gamalakhe CHC, Guelima Clinic, Guilima Clinic, Mutshini Clinic, Shelly Beach Clinic, and Guelima Clinic. The items must conform to detailed specifications and standards as outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Items must meet the detailed specifications provided in the annexure, including size, material, and quality standards.
• All products should conform to relevant safety and quality standards, including SANAS/SABS specifications where applicable.
• Items must be new, unused, and of the most recent models with all recent improvements incorporated.
• Suppliers must provide samples upon request and ensure items are properly packed to prevent damage during transit.
• Delivery must be completed within the specified contract period, with documentation including invoices, delivery notes, and compliance certificates.
• Items must be delivered to the specified addresses, with the quote including all delivery costs.
• Suppliers must provide warranties (typically 1 year) against defects, excluding deliberate or accidental damage.
• All quotations must be valid for 90 days from the closing date.

Skills Requirements

• Ability to supply products that meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Experience in handling government procurement processes, including compliance with SCM policies and regulations.
• Capability to provide timely delivery and proper documentation to facilitate smooth procurement and inventory management.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to garden tools and equipment used in health facilities.
• Proficiency in completing and submitting all required documentation, including preference points claim forms, disclosure forms, and compliance certificates.
• Ability to provide after-sales support, warranties, and handle technical inquiries related to the supplied items.
