Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver hardware items and maintenance spares to Imbalenhle Community Health Centre (CHC). The procurement aims to ensure the availability of essential hardware and maintenance components required for the operational needs of the health facility, supporting its maintenance and service delivery functions.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various hardware items and maintenance spares, including tools, electrical components, plumbing fittings, and other related equipment as specified in the detailed specifications. The procurement covers items such as drills, sockets, rivet guns, sealers, bolts, lamps, geyser elements, pipes, and other hardware components necessary for maintenance and operational purposes at Imbalenhle CHC. The scope also includes compliance with technical standards, adherence to specifications, and timely delivery within the contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of hardware items that meet specified standards such as SANS and manufacturer specifications.
• Items must be new, unused, and conform to the latest models and design improvements.
• Items should be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
• Delivery must be in accordance with the specified terms, including documentation and inspection requirements.
• Items such as drills, sockets, sealers, bolts, lamps, geyser elements, pipes, and other hardware must meet detailed specifications including size, capacity, and quality standards.
• Compliance with VAT requirements and inclusion of VAT in pricing where applicable.
• Provision of warranty for a period of 12 months for goods, with clear procedures for defect rectification.
