Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver test strips compatible with Hgb meters to Vryheid Hospital, ensuring the hospital has the necessary testing supplies for patient care.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of test strips specifically for Hgb meters, with an estimated quantity of 600 boxes (50 units per box). The delivery is a once-off requirement to Vryheid Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, within the specified contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of test strips for Hgb meters (brand/model: Viva or equivalent as per specifications).
• Test strips must conform to the attached specifications, including size, packaging, and quality standards.
• Product must meet the quality standards specified in the procurement documents.
• Samples are not required unless specified; the product must comply with the detailed specifications provided in Annexure A.
• The test strips should be new, unused, and of the most recent models, incorporating all recent improvements.
• Delivery must be made in accordance with the specified delivery terms, including proper packing to prevent damage during transit.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate the ability to supply medical testing supplies that meet quality and safety standards.
• Bidder should have experience in supplying medical test strips or similar healthcare consumables.
• Bidder must be registered on the Central Supplier Database and provide valid registration details.
• Compliance with the specifications and technical standards as outlined in the procurement documentation is mandatory.
• Bidder should be capable of timely delivery and proper handling of sensitive medical supplies.
• Provision of proof of BBBEE status or relevant empowerment credentials to claim preference points.
