Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply three units of hydraulic trolleys that meet specified standards and specifications for use at the Pietermaritzburg Mortuary. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of quality equipment to facilitate the uplift and transportation of bodies within the mortuary setting.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of three hydraulic trolleys as per detailed specifications.
• Compliance with technical and quality standards outlined in the specification form.
• Delivery to the specified location: Pietermaritzburg Mortuary, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Provision of samples, if required, and adherence to evaluation criteria.
• Completion within the contract period, which is once-off.

Technical Requirements

The hydraulic trolleys must conform to the following specifications:

• Lifting capacity between 150kg to 250kg with a height range of 300mm to 400mm, maximum height of 1800mm to 1900mm.
• Frame and roller system made of Grade 304 stainless steel.
• Double-acting manual hydraulic hand pump for lifting mechanism.
• Four heavy-duty swivel castors, 125mm to 150mm, with at least two equipped with brakes.
• Tray compatibility for standard body trays measuring 500mm to 650mm wide.
• Approximate dimensions: 2150mm (L) x 660mm (W) x 950mm (H).
• Compliance with good quality standards and attached specifications.

Skills and Other Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate technical capability to supply equipment that meets detailed specifications.
• Ability to provide samples for evaluation if required.
• Adherence to delivery timelines and proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points and legal requirements.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as BBBEE certificates, tax clearance, and CSD registration.
