Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply and delivery of medication to the municipality. The goal is to ensure the procurement of quality pharmaceuticals on time and in accordance with specified standards, supporting the municipality's healthcare and operational needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various medications and medical supplies as detailed in the pricing schedule, including items such as oxygen masks, nebulizer masks, pharmaceuticals like Scopex, Loperamide, Hep B and Tetanus injections, surgical masks, drug tests, saline, dextrose, and other medical consumables. Delivery must be completed within 7 days after official order placement to the designated municipality stores in Vredenburg.

Technical Requirements

• Only registered pharmaceutical companies are eligible to quote.
• Pricing must include delivery charges.
• All quotations must be on business letterhead and conform to the specifications provided.
• Items must be supplied in the specified quantities and quality standards.
• Quotations must be valid for at least 90 days from the closing date.
• Late submissions will not be accepted; quotations must reach the designated office before the deadline.
• All documents and packaging must be clearly marked with the RFQ number.

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in preparing and submitting compliant quotations on official business letterheads.
• Understanding of procurement procedures and contractual obligations as per the SCM policy.
• Ability to provide proof of registration (CSD registration, pharmaceutical registration, etc.) and relevant certifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to the handling and delivery of medical supplies.
• Capability to manage waste disposal and environmental compliance during delivery and storage.
• Competence in completing and signing mandatory forms such as the Declaration of Interest, Preference Points Claim, and Certificate of Independent Bid Determination.
