Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver surgical and medical items under the MMC Programme to Uthukela District Office, ensuring the provision of essential healthcare supplies in accordance with specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various surgical and medical items, such as MMC hygiene packs, VMMC training kits, blood pressure monitors, and other related surgical and medical supplies. The procurement covers up to 2060 units, with detailed specifications provided for each item, to be delivered to the Uthukela District Office within the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Items must conform to the detailed specifications outlined in the specification forms, including compliance with standards such as NDOH and SAHPRA certificates.
• Items must meet quality standards, including SAHPRA certification for medical devices and NDOH approval for hygiene packs.
• Packaging must prevent damage during transit, with appropriate labeling and documentation.
• Delivery must be made in accordance with the specified contractual terms, including timely submission of documents and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Samples of items may be required for evaluation, with the obligation to submit upon request.
• Suppliers must disclose any interests or relationships with Department of Health employees and comply with legislation on disclosure of interest.
