Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver nylon sutures, specifically monofilament synthetic non-absorbable sutures, to Madadeni Hospital. The goal is to procure high-quality sutures suitable for high-tension skin closure, ensuring they meet specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of 100 boxes of nylon sutures (size USP 17, 45mm, ½ taper cut loop, 240cm length) to the Madadeni Hospital Stores. The procurement is a once-off contract, with the delivery to be made to the hospital's stores within the specified delivery period.

Technical Requirements

• Item Description: Nylon sutures, monofilament, synthetic, non-absorbable, blue in color.
• Material: Non-absorbable monofilament nylon.
• Size: USP 17.
• Packaging: Single-use, 45mm ½ taper cut loop, 240cm length.
• Sterilization: Ethylene oxide gas sterilized.
• Standards: Must comply with the specified detailed technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the specification form.
• Samples: Must be made available upon request for testing and verification.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Provision of samples for testing if requested.
• Completion and submission of all required administrative and statutory documents, including:
  • Bidder's disclosure form (SBD4).
  • Official price page for quotations up to R1,000,000.
  • Tax compliance certificate or SARS PIN.
  • SAPHRA license (if applicable).
  • BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Ability to deliver the specified quantity within the stipulated delivery period.
• Experience in supplying medical sutures or similar medical consumables is advantageous.
• Knowledge of procurement policies and adherence to government tender procedures.
