Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver computer equipment, including business laptops with docking stations, backpacks, and security chains, to the municipality. The goal is to procure quality hardware within specified technical and financial parameters, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with municipal procurement policies.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of:

• Business laptops with docking stations
• Backpacks suitable for laptops
• Security chains for equipment security

Delivery must be completed within 7 days after the official order, to the specified delivery address at Municipality Stores, Vredenburg. The tender covers the procurement process, including submission, evaluation, and awarding of the contract based on specified criteria.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Business Laptop with docking station, featuring a fingerprint reader (dependent on vendor)
• Docking station must support ports as specified (e.g., larger charger wattage than the laptop's charger)
• Docking station must have necessary ports (USB, HDMI, etc.)
• Backpack with at least 2 compartments and suitable accessories
• Security chain for equipment security

Pricing must include delivery charges, and all items must conform to the specifications stipulated. Additional costs may be recovered if items do not meet the requirements.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active status
• Ability to provide valid B-BBEE certification or affidavit
• Compliance with municipal procurement policies and conditions
• Capability to supply the specified hardware and accessories meeting technical standards
• Experience in delivering similar computer equipment within the stipulated timeframe
• Provision of all required documentation, including signed forms, declarations, and proof of local address and municipal accounts

Furthermore, bidders must be able to complete and submit all compulsory forms, including declarations of interest, preference points claim, and certificates of bid independence, to qualify for evaluation.
