Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver disposable sterile surgical gowns in size XL to Victoria Mxenge Hospital, as specified by the Department of Health at King Edward VIII Hospital. The aim is to procure quality surgical gowns that meet relevant standards and specifications to ensure safety and hygiene in surgical procedures.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of 1,500 units of disposable sterile surgical gowns (size XL) to Victoria Mxenge Hospital. The procurement process includes collection of quotes, submission, and delivery of the specified items within the contractual and technical requirements outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Gowns must be surgical, non-woven polypropylene with a weight of approximately 54g/m² for the body and 66g/m² for sleeves.
• Reinforced in chest and forearm areas, resistant to liquid penetration, and lint-free.
• Must provide a bacteria barrier efficiency complying with SANS 53795, with certification submitted.
• Conform to EU PPE Regulation 2016/425 and EU MDD Directive 93/42/EEC.
• Classified as FDA Class I or II medical device, or equivalent, with compliance to EN 13795 performance levels.
• Meet AAMI PB70 standards or equivalent.
• Gowns must be sterile, individually double peel-packed, with 50 gowns per carton.
• Samples must be provided upon request for testing and verification.

Skills Requirements
