Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver patient clothing, specifically jackets and pyjamas for adult patients, to Vryheid Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement aims to ensure the hospital is equipped with high-quality, compliant patient garments that meet specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of:

• Winter and summer jackets pyjamas for adult patients, including specific sizes and designs as detailed in the specifications.
• Patient linen and hospital clothing items, including specified fabric types, sizes, and markings.
• All items must conform to the detailed specifications, quality standards, and packaging requirements outlined in the tender documents.

The delivery location is Vryheid Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, with the contract being a once-off supply and delivery arrangement.

Technical Requirements

• Items must meet the detailed specifications provided, including size, material, color, and markings (e.g., hospital name, department, and specific lettering).
• Fabric standards: e.g., SABS 1401 Part 1 and 3, 100% cotton, pre-shrunk, with specified thread count.
• Design features such as collarless V-neck, patch pockets, vent details, double stitching, and specific measurements for sizes.
• Items must be marked with hospital-specific lettering (e.g., "VRYHEID HOSPITAL" or "KZN") in specified sizes and colors.
• All seams should be raised and double-stitched; size tabs must be sewn with dye-fast, signed, and mercerized fabric.
• Samples may be requested for the top qualifying companies, and compliance with specifications is mandatory for evaluation.
• Items must be delivered in packaging that prevents damage during transit, with appropriate labeling and documentation.

Skills Requirements
