Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of supplying and delivering uniforms for drivers, including navy trousers, shirts, skirts, jackets, socks, shoes, and related items, to Estcourt Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure standardized, quality uniforms for drivers that meet specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various uniform items as detailed in the specifications, including:

• Navy trousers (men and ladies)
• White short-sleeve shirts
• Navy skirts (kick pleat)
• Jackets (water-resistant, PVC coated)
• Socks (anklet, antibacterial)
• Black shoes
• Socks
• Other related uniform accessories as specified

The contract is a once-off supply, with delivery to Estcourt Hospital, and includes compliance with quality standards, specifications, and standards such as SABS approval.

Technical Requirements

• Uniform items must conform to detailed specifications, including size, color, material (e.g., 100% cotton, polyester), and quality standards (SABS approved).
• Items must be new, unused, and of the latest models with all latest design improvements.
• Suppliers must provide samples for approval before order placement.
• All items must meet the detailed specifications provided in Annexure A, including specific sizes, colors, and materials.
• Uniforms must be delivered in packaging that prevents damage during transit.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with standards, including SABS approval, and relevant certificates (e.g., CIPC, BBBEE, Tax Clearance, SAHPRA where applicable).
• Delivery must be timely, with adherence to the specified delivery period.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Proven capacity to supply and deliver uniforms in accordance with detailed specifications and standards.
• Experience in supplying uniforms to government or health sector institutions is preferred.
• Ability to provide samples for technical approval prior to order confirmation.
• Compliance with all legal, tax, and regulatory requirements, including tax clearance, BBBEE certification, and registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Capability to produce and supply quality certificates such as SABS approval, SAHPRA license (if applicable), and other relevant certifications.
• Effective logistics and delivery skills to ensure timely and secure delivery to Estcourt Hospital.
