Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver unisex tracksuits to Ekukhuleni Psychiatric Hospital, ensuring that patients are provided with dignified, safe, and appropriate clothing that meets their daily, seasonal, and therapeutic needs. The initiative aims to promote patient dignity, identity, comfort, and hygiene in line with relevant health and infrastructure guidelines.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement of 1,000 units of unisex tracksuits, which must conform to specified quality standards and detailed specifications. The tracksuits are intended for use within the hospital's laundry department, covering various sizes and colors as per the attached size list and specifications. The delivery is a once-off requirement, with all items to be supplied to Ekukhuleni Psychiatric Hospital.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and deliver 1,000 unisex tracksuits.
• Tracksuits must be made of polar fleece material.
• Design specifications include:
  • Polarfleece-lined trousers with elastic waist.
  • Finished, ruched or elasticated back and front with reinforced stitching.
  • Side pockets with specified dimensions and secure stitching.
  • 30mm double-stitched hem with overlocked seams.
  • Initials "EP" at the back of the tracksuit.
  • Sizes and colors as per attached size chart and specifications.
• Items must be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
• Samples may be requested during the evaluation stage.
• All items must meet the specified quality standards and specifications.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven ability to supply and deliver clothing items in accordance with detailed technical specifications.
• Experience in manufacturing or supplying hospital or healthcare-related garments, preferably polar fleece tracksuits.
• Capability to adhere to quality standards, including compliance with SABS or SANS approvals.
• Ability to provide necessary documentation such as BBBEE Sworn Affidavit, CSD report, and Tax Compliance Certificate.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and handle bulk orders efficiently.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points and mandatory documentation submission.
