Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver various surgical items and medical equipment to Emmaus Hospital, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and procurement policies. Scope

The scope includes the supply, delivery, and potential installation of a wide range of surgical and medical items such as:

• Sterile surgical instruments and accessories (e.g., stylets, endometrial biopsy tools, laryngeal masks, defibrillator electrodes)
• Medical equipment such as Mayo stands, ventilator filters, T-piece airway devices, and pediatric resuscitation tapes
• Disposable items including ECG paper, ventilation filters, and various catheters
• Specific products for emergency and surgical use, conforming to specified standards (SABS, ISO)

The procurement process covers the entire supply chain from order to delivery, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements are detailed in the annexed specifications, including:

• Product compliance with SABS or ISO standards
• Items must be sterile, disposable where applicable, and suitable for clinical use
• Specific product features such as size, material, and functionality (e.g., radiopaque defibrillator pads, flexible nasopharyngeal tubes, adjustable Mayo stands)
• Items must be correctly packaged, labeled, and accompanied by relevant documentation
• Products must meet safety, durability, and usability standards as specified in the annexures

All products must be supplied with valid certification (e.g., SAPHRA certificates for medical devices) and conform to the detailed specifications provided in the tender documents.

The successful bidder must demonstrate:
