Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver a total of 3 Horse Meat Speciation ELISA Kits and 5 Multi-species Meat Speciation ELISA Kits (covering pig, sheep, cow, and poultry) to the Food Section of the Forensic Chemistry Laboratory in Cape Town. These kits are intended for use in detecting species substitution and adulteration in raw meat products to ensure authenticity and compliance testing.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement of ELISA kits that are suitable for detecting meat proteins in raw meat and raw meat products. The kits must include pre-coated 96-well ELISA plates, controls, enzyme conjugate, substrate, stop solution, wash buffer concentrate, and an instruction manual in English. Delivery is required to the Forensic Chemistry Laboratory, Cape Town, within four months from the date of delivery. The kits should operate with standard ELISA plate readers and common laboratory pipettes, and consumables only (not proprietary reagents).

Technical Requirements

• The kits must be capable of detecting horse meat, pig, sheep, cow, and poultry meat proteins in raw meat and products using ELISA methodology.
• The kits should include all necessary consumables and components as specified.
• The kits must be delivered within four months of order at the specified Cape Town location.
• The kits must include a pre-coated 96-well ELISA plate, controls, enzyme conjugate, substrate, stop solution, wash buffer concentrate, and an instruction manual in English.
• Delivery will be paid only upon receipt of the kits and an official invoice.
• The kits should be compatible with standard laboratory equipment (plate readers and pipettes).
