Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver 100 ML sterile plastic diluent bottles. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of high-quality, sterile, and compliant bottles that meet specified technical and safety standards for use in biological and medical applications.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of 199 boxes of 100 ML sterile plastic bottles, each box containing 972 units.
• Delivery of the specified quantity to the designated storage facilities.
• Provision of bottles manufactured from 100% virgin High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), adhering to detailed specifications.
• Compliance with packaging, irradiation, and certification requirements as outlined in the specifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the bottles are as follows:

• Material: 100% virgin HDPE, odourless and transparent.
• Dimensions:
  • Total height: 82.4 mm ± 0.50 mm
  • Bottom width: 50.3 mm ± 0.50 mm
  • Internal diameter of neck rim: 13.0 mm ± 0.20 mm
  • Outside diameter of neck rim: 20.0 mm ± 0.20 mm
  • Thickness of brim: 3.70 mm ± 0.20 mm
  • Outer diameter of neck: 15.8 mm ± 0.25 mm
• Shape: Flat, not round, free from projections, with a concave bottom surface.
• Rim circumference: As per attached diagram.
• Sampling: Drawn from beginning, middle, and end of production batch, labeled with product name, date, time, batch number, and operator signature.
• Gamma irradiation: Minimum dose of 8 kGy, with certificate of irradiation attached.
• Packaging:
  • 81 bottles per cardboard tray (460mm x 460mm x 60mm).
  • 12 trays sealed in plastic bags (minimum 35g each).
  • Trays packed in a strong cardboard box (940mm x 470mm x 546mm), sealed with a plastic shroud.
• Certificates: Each consignment must include a signed certificate of conformance/analysis from the supplier.

Skills Requirements

The successful supplier must demonstrate:

• Proficiency in manufacturing HDPE bottles according to detailed technical specifications.
• Capability to perform gamma irradiation and provide relevant certification.
• Experience in packaging sterile medical-grade bottles to meet strict hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to produce and supply large quantities within specified timelines.
• Compliance with quality assurance processes, including batch sampling and documentation.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and adherence to the specified submission and certification requirements.
