Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider capable of supplying and delivering a sound meter along with calibration equipment to Bergrivier Municipality’s Traffic and Law Enforcement Department, ensuring accurate sound level measurement and calibration in accordance with specified standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of a sound level meter that meets the technical specifications outlined in the tender.
• Provision of calibration equipment, including an acoustic calibrator.
• Delivery of the equipment to the designated location at Piketberg, within the stipulated timeframe.
• Compliance with all technical, administrative, and legal requirements specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the equipment are as follows:

• A sound level meter capable of measuring sound levels accurately in various environments.
• An acoustic calibrator included with the sound meter for calibration purposes.
• The equipment must be new, unused, and incorporate the latest design improvements.
• The sound meter and calibration equipment must meet the specifications detailed in the tender documentation, including compliance with relevant standards.
• The calibration equipment must include a calibration certificate or be capable of calibration to national standards.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Bidder must demonstrate:

• Competence and experience in supplying and calibrating sound measurement equipment.
• Registration on the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) with valid CSD number and Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN.
• Ability to provide technical support and after-sales service.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including BBBEE certification and preference point system.
• Provision of relevant documentation such as BBBEE certificates, municipal accounts, and technical specifications.
