Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider for the supply and delivery of A4 paper to various laboratories within the Capricorn Business Unit of the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS). The goal is to ensure consistent availability of quality A4 paper across multiple labs to support their diagnostic and operational activities.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of A4 white paper (210mm x 297mm, 80g/m²) in sealed reams of 500 sheets.
• Delivery of specified quantities of paper to designated laboratories, including Polokwane Lab, Mankweng Lab, Lebowakgomo Lab, Zebediela Lab, Helen Franz Lab, WF Knobel Lab, Seshego Lab, Botlokwa Lab, and the Limpopo Asset Store.
• Multiple deliveries as per the schedule, totaling 1775 boxes across all labs.
• Adherence to quality and packaging specifications, with delivery costs included in the pricing.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the paper include:

• Size: A4 (210mm x 297mm)
• Weight: 80g/m²
• Packaging: 5 reams of 500 sheets per sealed box
• Quantity per lab as per the delivery schedule (e.g., 135 boxes for Polokwane Lab in the first delivery)

Additional requirements include compliance with quality standards, proper packaging, and timely delivery as per the schedule.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying A4 printing paper or similar consumables, with a minimum of 3 years preferred.
• Provision of verifiable references and past performance on similar contracts.
• Capability to deliver the specified quantities within the stipulated timeframes.
• Compliance with all technical and quality specifications outlined in the tender documents.
• Ability to provide competitive pricing inclusive of delivery costs and applicable taxes.
