Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier for the supply and delivery of chlorine, specifically 25kg granular chlorine chips or equivalent, ensuring timely delivery within 7 days after official order, to meet the municipal needs of Saldanha Bay Municipality.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of 25kg granular chlorine chips or equivalent.
• Delivery to Municipality Stores, Floryn Street, Marias Industrial, Vredenburg, within 7 days of official order.
• Provision of goods on a per-item basis, with pricing inclusive of delivery charges.
• Compliance with specifications and submission of all required documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Supply of 25kg granular chlorine chips or an equivalent product.
• Product must meet the specifications stipulated in the tender documentation.
• Pricing must include all delivery charges.
• All quotations must be valid for at least 90 days from the closing date.
• Delivery must occur within 7 days after official order placement.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active status.
• Ability to provide a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Completion and signing of compulsory forms including Declaration of Interest (MBD 4), Preference Points Claim form (MBD 6.1), and Certificate for Independent Bid Determination (MBD 9).
• Proof of local municipal account or valid lease agreement to claim locality points.
• Compliance with all technical, legal, and administrative requirements as specified in the tender documents.
• Experience in supplying chemicals or similar goods, with relevant references if required.
