Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of custom-made oligonucleotides to ERWAT, a municipal wastewater treatment entity. Scope

The scope involves the supply and delivery of specific custom-made DNA oligonucleotides with defined sequences, purification types, and minimum yields. Bidders must provide oligonucleotides in lyophilised/dry form, with proof of manufacturer certification and the ability to order online. The scope includes compliance with technical specifications, documentation requirements, and supporting proof of authorization, manufacturing standards, and online ordering capabilities.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of DNA oligonucleotides with sequences:
  • 5’ GCC GGT CAG CCA CCC TC 3’ (SHIG - R)
  • 5’ GCC ATA CTA ATT GCG GCA ATC GCA TG 3’ (VIBT - R)
  • 5’ TCA TCG CAC CGT CAA AGG AAC C 3’ (SAL - R)
  • Additional sequences as specified in the technical specifications
• Minimum yield of 25 nmole DNA oligonucleotides per item.
• Purification by standard desalting.
• Products must be supplied in lyophilised/dry form.
• Proof of authorization for distribution in South Africa, manufacturer ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), and product datasheets/brochures.
• Availability of an online ordering service with options to specify sequences, purification, and yields.
• Demonstration of throughput DNA platform capabilities and production process details.
