Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver diesel fuel to 10 clinics operated by Manguzi Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure a reliable supply of diesel for standby generators across these clinics, supporting continuous healthcare services.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of diesel (50PP) to 10 clinics in the Manguzi area.
• Delivery to specified clinics and/or designated delivery points within the clinics.
• Provision of necessary documentation, compliance with technical specifications, and adherence to delivery schedules.

The contract is a once-off supply for the specified quantity, with the possibility of delivery to multiple clinics as detailed in the specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of 1950 liters of diesel (50PP) per clinic, totaling 1950 liters for the entire project.
• Delivery to 10 clinics: Mshudu Clinic, Kwazibi Clinic, Mvelabusha Clinic, Mboza Clinic, Kwandaba Clinic, Zamazama Clinic, Maputa Clinic, Mahlungulu Clinic, Bhekabantu Clinic, Thengane Clinic.
• Delivery must include a trailer with a delivery meter, compliant with SABS standards.
• Transport and delivery to be arranged for each clinic, ensuring safe handling and compliance with safety standards.
• Delivery must be accompanied by proper documentation, including invoices and delivery notes.
• All diesel supplied must meet the specified quality standards and conform to relevant SANS/SABS specifications.
• Delivery must be completed within the agreed timeframe, with adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Skills and Competencies Required

• Qualified and experienced fuel suppliers with proven capacity to deliver bulk diesel to multiple locations.
• Drivers must possess a valid Hazchem certificate, ensuring safe transportation of hazardous goods.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to the transportation and handling of flammable liquids.
• Ability to provide compliant delivery vehicles and equipment, including SABS-approved trailers with delivery meters.
• Competence in documentation and compliance with legal and safety regulations.
• Experience in working with healthcare facilities and understanding of their logistical requirements.
