Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply disaster management tools and equipment to support emergency preparedness and response efforts within the municipality. Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and delivery of disaster management tools and equipment as specified in the tender documents. The delivery must be completed within 14 days after the official order, and all items must conform to the stipulated specifications. The procurement covers various items necessary for disaster management, including portable flood lighting and other related tools.

Technical Requirements

• Items must be new, functional, and compliant with the specifications provided in the tender documentation.
• Pricing must include delivery charges.
• All items should be suitable for outdoor and indoor use where applicable.
• Specific items such as portable flood lighting should meet the dimensions and technical standards outlined (e.g., width 155mm x depth 220mm).
• Suppliers must submit detailed pricing on their business letterhead, with all relevant documents, including signed forms and proof of compliance.
• Waste management during delivery and installation must adhere to environmental regulations, with proper disposal certificates submitted upon project completion.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active registration.
• Ability to provide certified B-BBEE certificates or affidavits to claim preference points.
• Proof of property ownership or lease agreements, including affidavits where applicable, to verify locality claims.
• Completion and signing of compulsory forms such as the Declaration of Interest (MBD 4), Preference Points Claim form (MBD 6.1), and Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (MBD 9).
• Experience in supplying disaster management tools and equipment, with the capacity to meet delivery deadlines.
• Knowledge of waste management and environmental compliance during delivery and installation processes.
• Ability to provide valid tax invoices compliant with VAT regulations for prompt payment.
