The primary objective is to procure high-quality, sterile surgical incise drapes impregnated with iodine for clinical use at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital. Scope

The scope covers a once-off supply and direct delivery of two specific product lines: 220 units of 60 × 80–90 cm drapes and 520 units of 60 × 30–45 cm drapes. The contract is strictly limited to product supply and logistics, with no installation, training, or after-sales service obligations. All goods must be delivered to the hospital's designated receiving area within the timeframe specified upon contract award.

• Product Type: Sterile, single-use surgical incise drates with an active povidone-iodine (iodophor) adhesive coating.
• Material & Appearance: Thin polyurethane film base with a transparent finish and yellowish/amber tint to maintain clear visibility of the surgical site.
• Functionality: Must provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, create a sterile field, stretch without tearing during application, and feature a backing film for precise positioning.
• Clinical Purpose: Securely adheres to patient skin to prevent drape lift, ensuring continuous antimicrobial protection along the incision edge to reduce wound contamination.
• Quality & Shelf Life: Products must be brand new, sterile, and possess a minimum of six months remaining shelf life upon delivery. Expired or second-hand items are strictly prohibited.
• Packaging: Supplied in individual units per box.

In this tender, full preference points are reserved for enterprises owned by youth, supported by valid B-BBEE certification or CSD verification.
• Sample Submission Requirement: Shortlisted bidders may be formally requested to physically submit product samples for independent laboratory testing and specification matching. Failure to provide compliant samples results in automatic disqualification.
• Performance Security & Delay Penalties: Standard public sector contract clauses requiring successful bidders to furnish a bank guarantee or cash deposit upon award.
