Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of E3 Edgings, each measuring 1000mm in length, in accordance with specified technical standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of E3 Edgings (1000mm long) as per the technical specifications.
• Delivery to the designated municipal stores within 7 days after official order placement.
• Compliance with relevant standards, including SANS 927:2022.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the E3 Edgings are:

• Size: 250mm x 100mm x 1000mm
• Minimum Transverse Strength: 9kN
• Concrete Strength: 25 MPa
• Compliance with SANS 927:2022 standards (proof of certification required)

Pricing must include delivery charges, and quotations must be valid for at least 90 days from the closing date.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must:

• Be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and ensure registration remains active.
• Complete and sign all compulsory forms, including declarations of interest, preference points claim, and independent bid determination certificates.
• Provide proof of B-BBEE status, including a valid B-BBEE certificate or affidavit.
• Submit relevant affidavits or lease agreements to verify business address and ownership details, especially for local preference points.
• Ensure all documentation is submitted on the business’s official letterhead and in line with specifications.
• Demonstrate ability to deliver within the specified timeframe and comply with technical standards.

Additional skills include understanding of procurement procedures, compliance with legal and contractual obligations, and waste management during delivery and installation.
