Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply fly traps and related re-fills, including bait and reusable large-sized flytraps, to meet the operational needs of Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd. The aim is to ensure effective pest control through the provision of quality products that comply with specified technical and quality standards.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and delivery of the following items:

• 50 units of flytrap re-fills (bait), specifically Redtop flytrap refills (X50)
• 200 units of Redtop Flytraps, reusable large size (X200)

The products must meet the specifications outlined in the tender documentation and be delivered as per the quantities specified.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of specifications, catalogues, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and data sheets for all items supplied.
• South African companies must provide a CSD report not older than 2 months confirming registration, activity status, and tax compliance.
• Foreign/international companies must complete SBD1 and SBD4 declaration forms.
• Products must conform to the specified standards for fly traps and bait, ensuring effectiveness and safety.
• All quotations must be submitted via the procurement portal, with required documentation uploaded as part of the bid.

Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required from bidders include:

• Ability to provide compliant and quality products as per technical specifications.
• Experience in supplying pest control products, particularly fly traps and related accessories.
• Knowledge of South African procurement procedures and compliance with local legislation.
• Capability to complete and submit all required documentation, including BBBEE certificates, SBD forms, and company registration details.
• Effective communication skills for clarifications and follow-up during the procurement process.
