Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver general hardware materials, including hardware supplies such as doors, tape, and related items, to the municipality. The aim is to ensure timely procurement of quality hardware materials to support municipal operations and projects.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various hardware items as specified in the pricing schedule, including:

• Door hardboard (813mm x 2032mm)
• Single wood doors (813mm x 2032mm)
• Chevron tape (red & white, 75mm x 500m)

Delivery must be completed within 14 days after official order issuance to the Municipality Stores at Vredenburg. The tender covers the provision of hardware materials on an as-needed basis, with the possibility of partial acceptance of quotations.

Technical Requirements

Suppliers must adhere to the following technical requirements:

• Submit quotations on business letterhead, clearly indicating item specifications and prices per item or bill of quantities.
• Include delivery charges in the total price.
• Ensure all items conform to the specifications stipulated in the tender documents.
• Complete, sign, and submit all compulsory forms, including declarations of interest, preference points claim, and independent bid certificates.
• Provide proof for preference points claims, such as B-BBEE certificates and locality proof (municipal account or lease agreement).
• Ensure all documents are submitted before the closing date and in the correct quotation box or office.
• Comply with waste management and disposal regulations during delivery and project execution.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Ability to provide quality hardware supplies that meet technical specifications.
• Capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe (within 14 days of order).
• Compliance with procurement procedures, including proper documentation and registration (e.g., CSD registration).
• Understanding of municipal procurement policies and preferential procurement regulations.
• Experience in handling similar hardware supply and delivery projects, ensuring quality and timely service.
• Ability to manage waste disposal and environmental regulations during delivery and project execution.
