Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver medical consumables to the municipality. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of quality medical consumables in accordance with specified standards and requirements, supporting healthcare services within the municipality.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and delivery of various medical consumables as specified in the tender documentation. The successful supplier will be responsible for providing the goods within 14 days after official order issuance, to the designated delivery address at Municipality Stores, Marias Industrial, Vredenburg. The scope also encompasses compliance with technical specifications, proper packaging, waste management during delivery, and adherence to contractual conditions.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of registered pharmaceutical consumables only, verified through relevant registration with the pharmaceutical board.
• Items must conform to the specifications stipulated in the tender document, including packaging and labeling.
• Pricing must include all delivery charges.
• Invoices must comply with Section 20(4) of the VAT Act, bearing all necessary information for payment processing.
• Delivery within 14 days of order, to the specified delivery address.
• Waste generated during delivery and handling must be managed and disposed of properly, with certificates of disposal submitted upon completion.

Skills Requirements

• Ability to provide certified proof of registration with the pharmaceutical board.
• Capability to supply goods that meet technical and quality specifications.
• Competence in completing and submitting all mandatory forms, including declaration of interest, preference points claim, and bid certificates.
• Experience in timely delivery and proper handling of medical consumables.
• Understanding of procurement policies, including preferential procurement regulations and waste management protocols.
