Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of providing the supply and delivery of medication to the municipality. The goal is to ensure timely, compliant, and quality provision of pharmaceutical products to meet the health needs of the community.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various medications and medical supplies as specified in the pricing schedule, including items such as oxygen masks, nebulizer masks, pharmaceuticals like Scopex, Loperamide, Hep B and Tetanus injections, surgical masks, drug testing kits, saline, dextrose, and other related medical items. Delivery must be completed within 14 days after the official order, to the designated municipality stores in Vredenburg.

Technical Requirements

• Only registered pharmaceutical companies are eligible to quote.
• Pricing must include delivery charges and be valid for at least 90 days from the closing date.
• All quotations must be on the company's official letterhead and conform to the specifications stipulated.
• Items must meet quality standards, and any non-conforming items may lead to additional costs recovery.
• All documents and packaging must be clearly marked with the RFQ number.
• Delivery must be made within 14 days of the official order.
• Waste generated during delivery and storage must be properly contained and disposed of at registered facilities.

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in pharmaceutical supply chain management and logistics.
• Understanding of compliance with health and safety standards related to medical supplies.
• Ability to complete and submit all required forms, including declarations of interest, preference points claim, and certificates for bid determination.
• Knowledge of municipal procurement policies and adherence to the conditions of contract.
• Capability to provide proof of B-BBEE status and local residency to claim preference points.
• Experience in handling and delivering sensitive medical products in accordance with regulatory standards.
