Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of plastic sampling bottles to ERWAT, a municipal entity responsible for wastewater treatment services within the Ekurhuleni region. The procurement aims to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of ERWAT’s water quality monitoring activities by sourcing qualified suppliers who can provide quality sampling bottles at competitive prices.

Scope

The scope of work involves the supply and delivery of plastic sampling bottles as specified in the tender documentation. ERWAT requires suppliers to provide sampling bottles in packs, with the process being rates-based and work orders generated on an "as and when" basis. The scope also includes adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and timely delivery to ERWAT’s designated locations.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of plastic sampling bottles in specified packs (e.g., 1L packs of 104 bottles).
• All bottles must meet specified quality standards and specifications outlined in the tender documents.
• Pricing must include all direct and indirect costs, including transport, labor, and applicable fees.
• Suppliers must submit a comprehensive pricing schedule, fully completed, with prices written in ink or typed.
• Provisional sums are included for additional items not covered in the main scope, with a maximum provisional sum value of R20,000.00.
• Delivery must be made to ERWAT’s specified destinations within the required timeframe.
• All samples and products must comply with environmental and safety standards.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying plastic sampling bottles or similar products.
• Compliance with the supply chain management policies and legislative frameworks, including the Municipal Finance Management Act and Preferential Procurement Regulations.
• Submission of all required supporting documents, such as company registration, tax compliance status, and municipal account statements.
• Ability to provide market-related quotations for provisional items upon request.
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver goods on a rate-based, flexible scope of work basis, with the ability to generate work orders as required.
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety standards relevant to the supply of plastic products.
• Capacity to meet ERWAT’s requirements for quality assurance and timely delivery.
