Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations from competent and experienced service providers for the supply and delivery of precast concrete stormwater pipes with interlocking joints to Bergrivier Municipality, in accordance with the specified technical requirements and standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of precast concrete stormwater pipes with interlocking joints as detailed in the specifications.
• Supply and delivery of pipes to the Bergrivier Municipality's technical store in Piketberg.
• Adherence to specified dimensions, class, and quality standards, including pipe class 50D, nominal diameter 450mm, length 2.44m, wall thickness 44mm, with inside socket of 20mm.
• Delivery within three (3) weeks from the date of official order.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the stormwater pipes include:

• Compliance with SANS 677 standards.
• Pipe class 50D with a nominal diameter of 450mm, inside diameter of 445mm, outside diameter of 533mm.
• Pipe length of 2.44 meters, wall thickness of 44mm.
• Inclusion of an inside socket of 20mm.
• Delivery to the specified municipal store in Piketberg, with all prices inclusive of VAT.
• Fixed pricing structure, with prices remaining firm for the duration of the bid validity period (120 days).
• Registration on the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) with submission of relevant registration and tax compliance documentation.
• Adherence to the evaluation criteria based on the 80/20 or 90/10 preference point system, including price, BBBEE status, and locality.

Additional requirements include submission of a valid Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Compliance Status Pin, completed procurement forms, and compliance with all municipal and legislative policies governing procurement processes.
