Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for production workers at Entabeni Plantation. The focus is on providing specified PPE items such as chainsaw operator pants, tunics, jackets, T-shirts, rainsuits, socks, and safety boots to ensure worker safety and compliance with safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of PPE items to the South African Forestry Company SOC Limited (SAFCOL) at the Entabeni Plantation. The items required encompass various protective clothing and accessories, with detailed specifications and quantities outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of chainsaw operator pants compliant with SABS 381-5 1995 or EN3891-5 1995 standards, in sizes M, L, XL, XXL.
• Chainsaw tunics made of 100% cotton, with vents, industrial wash reflective tape, and in orange and blue colors, with specified sizes.
• Orange jackets made of J54 fabric, triple stitched seams, reflective tape, and pocket prints, in various sizes.
• Golden yellow T-shirts made of 100% cotton, with double-stitched seams and printed logos.
• Royal blue jackets with reflective tape, in specified sizes.
• 2-piece rainsuits made of yellow Poly/PVC with welded seams and hoods, in various sizes.
• Socks (3 per employee) in size XL.
• Le Maitre Maxeco and Robust safety boots/shoes with STC, in various sizes.

All PPE must meet the relevant safety standards, be industrial washable, and include reflective features as specified.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering PPE or uniforms, demonstrated through reference letters and traceable client contacts.
• Ability to provide technical compliance and confirmation letters verifying adherence to specifications.
• Availability of adequate and reliable resources, including delivery vehicles (LDV/trucks), with proof of registration or lease agreements.
• Compliance with local content and B-BBEE requirements, supported by relevant certificates and documentation.
• Understanding of safety standards and technical specifications relevant to PPE manufacturing and supply.
