Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver South African Pine (SA Pine) timber that meets specified quality and treatment standards, within the stipulated timeframe and at competitive pricing, to support municipal infrastructure and construction projects.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of treated SA Pine timber with specific dimensions (38 mm thickness x 228 mm width, length 4.8 meters), treated with CCA H2 for interior structural protection, and graded according to SABS standards. The delivery must be made within 7 days after official order to the Municipality Stores in Vredenburg.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active status
• Completion and signing of mandatory forms including Declaration of Interest (MBD 4), Preference Points Claim (MBD 6.1), and Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (MBD 9)
• Provision of proof for preference points claims, such as B-BBEE certificate or affidavit, and proof of locality (municipal account or lease agreement)
• Compliance with specifications, including proper marking of quotations and submission on official letterhead
• Adherence to procurement policies and conditions, including submission of valid tax invoices and waste management during delivery
