Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver selective broadleaf weed killer suitable for treatment of weeds in lawns and sporting turf, ensuring compliance with specified standards and technical requirements.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of herbicides, specifically products such as Super Lawnweeder or equivalent, with specified active ingredients, to the Saldanha Bay Municipality. The delivery must occur within one week after the official order, and all products must meet the stipulated standards and specifications outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• The herbicide must comply with SANSA 10206 standard: 2010, including attaching the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
• The herbicide should contain active ingredients: Dicamba, 2,4-D, and MCPA at 120/180/157.5 g/l, and related triazines such as Simazine.
• Products must be supplied on the specified herbicide (e.g., Super Lawnweeder or equivalent).
• Pricing must include all delivery charges and be valid for at least 90 days from the closing date.
• Suppliers must attach SDS for all herbicides provided.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide proof of registration.
• Completion and signing of compulsory forms including the Declaration of Interest (MBD 4), Preference Points Claim Form (MBD 6.1), and Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (MBD 9).
• Provision of a valid B-BBEE certificate or affidavit to claim preference points.
• Submission of municipal accounts or lease agreements to verify locality claims.
• Compliance with all technical specifications, safety standards, and legal requirements as outlined in the tender documentation.
• Ability to supply the specified herbicide in the required quantities and meet delivery timelines.
