Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations from qualified service providers for the supply and delivery of various restaurant smallware and equipment (referred to as "Restaurant Smalls - F&B") to UShaka Marine World. The aim is to ensure the procurement of quality items that meet specified standards, supporting the operational needs of the restaurant facilities.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a wide range of restaurant smallware items, including storage containers, fryers, cutting boards, utensils, crockery, glassware, and other kitchen and serving equipment as detailed in the specifications. The items are intended for use in the restaurant operations at UShaka Marine World, with the successful bidder responsible for timely and complete delivery to the designated location.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that all items supplied must be equivalent to the specified standards, sizes, and functionalities outlined in the detailed specifications. Items must be of appropriate quality, suitable for restaurant use, and conform to the following:

• Items must be equivalent to the specified sizes, capacities, and materials (e.g., stainless steel, plastic, ceramic).
• Items such as storage containers, fryers, cutting boards, utensils, crockery, and glassware must meet the specified dimensions and capacities.
• All items must be new, unused, and compliant with relevant safety and quality standards.
• Items must be compatible with existing restaurant operations and meet the functional requirements specified in the detailed list.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Service providers must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database and eThekwini Supplier Portal.
• Provision of valid tax clearance, income tax reference number, security pin, and TCC number.
• Ability to supply quality restaurant smallware items that meet technical specifications.
• Experience in supplying similar items to hospitality or restaurant sectors.
• Capacity to deliver items within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with the specified standards.
• Compliance with all administrative, legal, and technical requirements as outlined in the tender documents.
