Objectives

To procure and professionally install a single ceiling-mounted projector for presentation and display purposes at St Chads Community Health Centre.

Scope of Work

This is a once-off contract requiring complete execution within two weeks of site handover. The supplier must provide all materials, equipment, and labour. Key tasks include:

• Mounting the projector to the ceiling using an adjustable pole bracket.
• Installing a 10-metre HDMI cable from the projector to the boardroom table.
• Securing all cabling to walls using 40×40 mm trunking.
• Supplying necessary adapters and converters.
• Preparing and submitting a project safety file prior to commencement.

The contract includes a three-month guarantee for structural and material components, and a twelve-month guarantee for electrical and mechanical installations.

Technical Requirements

The supplied projector must meet or exceed the specifications of the Epson EB-FH54. Required specifications include:

Additional required items include an adjustable pole bracket, an HDMI female to VGA male adapter with built-in 3.5 mm audio, a 10-metre HDMI cable, multi-format converters (VGA, Type C, USB), and 3 metres of 40×40 mm trunking. All products must be brand new, unused, and valid for a minimum of six months upon delivery. Installation must strictly comply with SANS wiring codes, KZNPA electrical specifications, National Building Regulations, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Skills Requirements

While specific trade certifications are not explicitly mandated, bidders must demonstrate proven capacity to execute ceiling-mounted AV installations safely and efficiently within the two-week timeframe. Personnel must possess practical expertise in structural mounting, low-voltage cabling, cable management, and adherence to provincial electrical and occupational health standards. The supplier must also be fully capable of compiling and submitting a comprehensive project safety file prior to site work.
