Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and install ceiling-related items and services, including lighting fixtures and painting of rhino boards, at the Onderstepoort Biological Products (OBP) premises. The project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure by replacing and painting rhino boards in various locations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of 20 down lights
• Supply of 1 fluorescent LED light
• Replacement and painting of rhino boards at multiple locations:
  • Passage (1.6 x 3.9 meters)
  • FD control room (6.6 x 3.6 meters)
  • Kitchen (2.8 x 3.7 meters)
  • Office (B) (6 x 3.9 meters)
  • Office (A) (2.5 x 2.7 meters)

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Attendance at a compulsory site briefing scheduled for March 11, 2026, at 15:14:31 at 100 Soutpan Rd, Onderstepoort, Pretoria.
• Compliance with health and safety protocols, including wearing PPE during site entry.
• Provision of valid CIDB registration with a minimum Grade of 01 GB.
• Submission of two reference letters for similar work completed within the last 24 months.
• Completion and submission of the SBD4 Bidder’s Disclosure form.
• Adherence to procurement procedures via the OBP procurement portal.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Registered CIDB contractor grading of at least Grade 01 GB or higher.
• Relevant experience in ceiling installation, painting, and related electrical work.
• Ability to provide references for similar projects completed recently.
• Compliance with all compulsory documentation, including BBBEE certificates (if applicable), tax compliance, and disclosure forms.
• Understanding of health and safety standards and PPE requirements during site work.
