Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and install one way mirror window tinting in the Maternity Ward of Murchison Hospital, ensuring privacy for patients and compliance with technical and safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of the specified one way mirror window tinting film for 17 windows.
• Installation of the tinting film on designated windows in the Maternity Ward.
• Adherence to all technical specifications, safety, and quality standards as outlined in the tender documents.
• Site preparation, cleaning, and ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations during installation.
• Compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and departmental specifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the tinting film include:

• Material: PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) with a silver mirrored aluminum vaporized coating.
• Thickness: 6 mil (0.152 mm).
• UV Rejection: Blocks 99% of UV rays.
• Infrared Heat Rejection: Reduces heat absorption significantly (typically 80-85%).
• Glare Reduction: Up to 88% glare reduction for daytime privacy.
• Visible Light Transmission (VLT): Approximately 15%, allowing limited light passage for privacy.
• Effect: Creates a one-way mirror effect during daytime, providing privacy from outside while allowing visibility from inside.
• Installation: Must be done using appropriate tools and methods, including cleaning, measuring, cutting, and applying the film with a slip solution to prevent bubbles.
• Durability: Waterproof, scratch-resistant, with an expected lifespan of several years.

Skills Requirements
