Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver packing and related materials to Ekombe Hospital. Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various packing materials, including plastic packets, paper bags, and medication bags, as specified in the detailed product specifications. The materials are intended for packing medication, food, and other hospital items, with specific sizes, materials, and quality standards outlined in the annexed specifications. The contract is a once-off procurement, with delivery to Ekombe Hospital's premises in KwaZulu-Natal.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Supply of plastic packets in specified sizes (e.g., 104mm x 160mm, 104mm x 120mm, etc.) made from polyethylene with continuous glued side seams and reinforced bottoms.
• Pharmacy bags in white, brown, and specific sizes (e.g., size 6, size 4) with eco-friendly, recyclable materials.
• Warfarin and other medication-specific bags with precise dimensions (e.g., 104mm x 120mm), designed for medication packaging.
• Brown paper S.O bags of various sizes (e.g., size 4, size 6) for packing medication and food, complying with high-quality standards and being recyclable.
• All products must meet the specified quality standards, conform to the detailed specifications, and be supplied in the required quantities (e.g., packs of 20000, 15000, etc.).
• Samples may be requested for quality verification prior to final evaluation.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

Bidder must demonstrate:

• Capacity to supply the specified quantities within the stipulated delivery period.
• Experience in manufacturing or supplying hospital-grade packaging materials that meet high-quality standards.
• Compliance with technical specifications and standards outlined in the annexure.
• Ability to provide samples for evaluation and meet the technical and quality criteria.
• Provision of relevant documentation, including proof of registration, BBBEE or CIPC certificates, and compliance with tax and supplier database requirements.
