The primary objective of this quotation is to procure and deliver two (2) Zebra GK420T label printers to Nkandla Hospital Pharmacy. The equipment is intended for printing patient medicine labels to support accurate dispensing and efficient clinical operations within the public health facility.
The scope encompasses a one-off supply and delivery of the specified label printers to the hospital's designated premises. The contract includes provision of brand-new equipment, adherence to strict delivery timelines, and full compliance with public sector procurement regulations. The estimated contract value does not exceed R500,000 (inclusive of all applicable taxes and delivery costs).
No specialized technical or operational skills are explicitly mandated for bidders. Suppliers must demonstrate standard commercial and logistical capability to execute the order, including inventory management, secure transportation, and timely installation/delivery. Bidders must also possess administrative competence to compile and submit mandatory compliance documentation, including tax clearance certificates, Central Supplier Database (CSD) verification, corporate registration records, and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) proof.
Preferential Procurement (80/20 System): Evaluation utilizes an 80/20 scoring model where 80 points are allocated for competitive pricing and 20 points for specific transformation goals. Full points for the specific goal are awarded exclusively to enterprises that are at least 100% owned by Black African women. Claiming these points requires submission of verified ownership documentation and certified identity copies.
Mandatory Compliance Stages: The evaluation follows four sequential stages: administrative compliance, capacity to deliver, specification compliance, and price/preference scoring. This is a pass/fail framework; failure to meet requirements at any stage results in immediate disqualification without progression to subsequent evaluations.
Performance Security & Delay Penalties: Within thirty days of contract award, the successful bidder must furnish performance security in the form of a bank guarantee, irrevocable letter of credit, or certified cheque. Delays in delivery incur financial penalties calculated at the current prime interest rate per day of delay. The purchaser reserves the right to terminate the contract and procure substitute goods if the supplier defaults.
Pricing & Validity: Quotations must remain firm for ninety days. Prices must be all-inclusive, covering VAT, delivery, and any incidental services. Only offers that strictly meet or exceed the technical specification will be considered, and the department retains the right to accept or reject any quote without obligation.

Most large tenders are composed of tasks in a number of different fields, and it is not always possible for a single company to cater for all of them, and therefore Joint Ventures and Consortia are formed to then submit a tender together.
Government tenders are also requiring the subcontracting of a percentage of the tender work, and the trouble is then finding Subcontractors to comply with the tender requirements
To assist companies with finding tender partners and subcontractors, you can now submit your contact details and company information on this page, so other interested parties can contact you for purposes of forming Joint Ventures and subcontracting
