Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver one automated semen analyzer to NHLS Umtata Micro Laboratory, ensuring the provision of a reliable, compliant, and high-quality diagnostic instrument that meets specified technical and operational standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of one automated semen analyzer, including installation, commissioning, user manual provision, and warranty support. The scope also involves adherence to technical specifications, compliance with regulatory standards, and fulfilling all contractual obligations related to the delivery and performance of the analyzer at the designated NHLS Umtata Micro Laboratory.

Technical Requirements

• The analyzer must be a benchtop model with dimensions suitable for laboratory use.
• Operating temperature and ambient conditions must be compatible with South African laboratory environments.
• The device should perform key parameters such as motility, concentration, sperm count, and morphology analysis.
• Manufactured in accordance with ISO 13485 standards.
• Installation and commissioning must be carried out by the supplier.
• User manual must be provided in English.
• The analyzer must be compliant with South African electricity supply standards.
• Delivery time should be a minimum of 6 weeks from contract award.
• The device must be SAPHRA registered.
• A minimum warranty period of 1 year is required.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified technical personnel capable of installing and commissioning the analyzer.
• Technical support staff familiar with the operation and maintenance of the analyzer.
• Bidder must demonstrate experience through references of similar contracts and provide relevant certifications.
• Supplier personnel should be able to provide training and after-sales support as part of the delivery process.
